A school bus with 11 students on board was involved in a minor three vehicle accident Monday morning at the intersection of Amelia Church Road and Barber Mill Road in Clayton.
The wreck was reported around 8:00am.
Initial reports indicate the driver of a Honda was turning from Amelia Church Road onto Barber Mill Road but failed to yield for a Ford SUV that struck the car in the side then pushed it into the front of a West Clayton Elementary school bus that had stopped at the intersection.
No one on board the bus or in the Honda was injured. The driver of the SUV reportedly had two small children in the vehicle and planned to transport them on his own to get checked out by a doctor. No victims were transported by EMS workers who responded to the scene.
The school bus sustained damage to the front bumper. It was driven away for repairs. Another school bus was brought to the scene to transport the 11 students to West Clayton Elementary School.
