An Angier woman is facing 9 charges after she allegedly stole her grandmother’s debit card then used it to make purchases at four Johnston County businesses.
McKenzie Leigh Wheeler, 24, of Black Pine Lane, Angier was arrested Monday morning.
On July 21st, the 74 year-old victim reported she discovered several unauthorized transactions on her bank statement. She went to her purse to make sure she still had her debit card but it was missing.

Wheeler was charged this morning with four counts of identity theft, four counts of obtaining property by false pretenses, and one count of financial card theft. She was booked into the Johnston County Jail under a $60,000 bond.
