A farmer worker was stabbed at a Benson area migrant camp early Sunday.
Johnston County deputies and Johnston County EMS responded to a call around 2:40am reporting a 30 year-old man has been stabbed while at the camp on Godwin Lake Road.
The victim, Antonio Carrillo of Dunn was allegedly stabbed in the back with a knife during an affray with another farm worker.
Carillo was rushed by ambulance to Wake Medical Center for a serious but non-life threatening wound.
The suspect, 20 year-old Cristian Ada Lara Beltran of Dunn was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Beltran was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $100,000 bond. The knife used in the assault was recovered by deputies.
