Two people were arrested on breaking and entering charges Thursday after they were allegedly caught inside a foreclosed home.
Deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity around 11:00 AM at the home on Big Branch Court, off Old Eason Road, northeast of Archer Lodge.
Officers arrived and found a vehicle in the back yard. A short time later the two women emerged from the home.
Morgan Johnson, 21, and Tonya Jean Johnson, 40, both of Creech Church Road, Kenly were charged with breaking and entering.
A sheriff’s office spokesperson said the women told officers they were told by someone else the home was in foreclosure and they could take whatever they wanted. Authorities said no items appeared to have been taken.
The two suspects were released on bond.
