Fentanyl Seized During Search Warrant, Sheriff’s Office Says

BENSON – A large amount of Fentanyl was reportedly seized by agents during the execution of a search warrant in Benson. Danny Lee York, age 41, of 317 N. Hall Street, was arrested January 6 by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division.

York had reportedly been the focus of an undercover narcotics investigation, which led to the search warrant at the 317 N. Hall Street address.

During the search, a large undisclosed amount of Fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and evidence of illegal narcotics manufacturing was located and seized, authorities said.

York was charged with three felony counts of trafficking in opium or heroin and one felony count of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance. He was held in the Johnston County Jail under a $130,000 secured bond.

  1. Drugs are everywhere. Even legal drugs can be abused. At what point will there be a illegal for human consumption law. Yeah, some humans would take it voluntarily. Suicide? Some are no more than fools. They think it’s what they need. Wrong! You’re human!!
