Firefighters from the Garner Fire Department quickly extinguished a fire in the attic of an apartment building on Bryan Place this morning.
Firemen said the blaze started in air handling unit in the attic of the apartment building.
Due to the fire being in the attic there was water damage to the apartments below.
Duke Energy crews and property managers are assessing the damage to determine if the residents can stay in their apartments.
The Garner Fire Department, Eastern Wake Fire Department, Wake County EMS and Garner Police responded to the scene. There were no injuries. Photos courtesy JoCoFire.com
