MICRO – Multiple fire departments battled a house fire in Micro, Tuesday morning. The blaze was reported around 8:30am on N. Railroad Street.
Fire gutted a single story residence and damaged a building in the back yard. A pickup truck parked behind the house also burned.
No injuries were reported. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced family.
The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office said the fire started on the back porch of the home. There were multiple potential ignition sources within the area the fire originated. However, what sparked the fire has not been determined.
