Fire Destroys Four Oaks Area Home

FOUR OAKS – A Sunday afternoon fire destroyed a home outside of Four Oaks.

Around 3:30pm, the Johnston County 911 Center received several calls reporting a fire at a two story home in the 200 block of Reedy Creek Road.

Three fire departments were immediately dispatched and arrived to find the home fully engulfed in flames. Tankers from three additional fire departments were dispatched to provide additional water to fight the blaze.

Numerous fire trucks remain on the scene and a section of Reedy Creek Road has been shut down due to the large number of emergency vehicles on the scene. Drivers are urged to avoid the area for the next several hours.

The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office has responded to investigate the cause. There has been no immediate reports of any injuries.
