A fire gutted a singlewide mobile home Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported around 9:00am on Charlie Road near Thompson Road in the Blackman’s Crossroads community south of Four Oaks.
The home was completely engulfed in flames when crews from the Blackman’s Crossroads, Four Oaks, and Strickland’s Crossroads Fire Departments arrived.
Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the burning home preventing the fire from spreading to adjacent shelters covering equipment and other property.
No injuries were reported however 3 adults and one child were displaced. They are being assisted by the Red Cross.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office and Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene. Fire Marshal Adam Stanley said the cause of the blaze is being investigated by both agencies.
