CLAYTON – A Johnston County home was heavily damaged by flames Monday afternoon. The fire was reported on Ainsley Court in the Plantation Point community off South Murphrey Road.
The Archer Lodge, Clayton, Corinth Holders, and Thanksgiving Fire Departments responded to the fire at approximately 3:30pm. The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic control.
Three adults were reportedly at home when the fire started. Everyone made it out unharmed.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
