Fire Heavily Damages Smithfield Home

SMITHFIELD, N.C. – A fire heavily damaged a home in Smithfield Friday morning.

The blaze was reported around 11:45 a.m. at a residence on Blount Street, off Brogden Road.

Fire crews from Smithfield, Selma and Four Oaks responded and quickly brought the fire under control.

No injuries were reported.

Johnston County EMS stood by at the scene while firefighters worked.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
