CORINTH HOLDERS – A Johnston County home was gutted by fire Sunday afternoon. The blaze was reported shortly after 4:00pm on Red Wood Road in the Remington Hills subdivision off Highway 96 North in the Corinth Holders community.
Johnston and Wake County firefighters arrived on the scene to found flames coming from the roof of two-story home.
Two adults who lived in the home were displaced.
Because of the afternoon heat, a Johnston County EMS rehab unit was dispatched to the scene.
No injuries were reported.
The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
According to Johnston County tax records the 1,822 square foot home was only 7 years old.
