CLAYTON – A late Wednesday evening crash left four damaged vehicles scattered across the highway, caused minor injuries and sent one person to the hospital.
The accident occurred on Ranch Road just south of US 70.
A driver reported that traffic had slowed for a disabled motorist who was partially blocking a travel lane when his vehicle was struck by a car which did not slow.
Clayton Fire, Johnston County EMS and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the 10pm accident.
The injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
The roadway was closed for nearly two hours.
