Four Oaks Man Charged In Wayne County Meth Trafficking Investigation

GOLDSBORO — A Four Oaks man is facing multiple methamphetamine trafficking charges after a Wayne County drug investigation led authorities to identify him as a suspected supplier in the region.
Gregory Scott Coburn, 62, of Four Oaks, was arrested Nov. 25 following an extensive investigation by the Goldsboro/Wayne County Drug Task Force. Investigators say Coburn was allegedly supplying methamphetamine to areas in southwest Wayne County.
The investigation, conducted in partnership with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Violence Prevention Response Team (ViPR), resulted in the seizure of what officers described as a trafficking amount of methamphetamine. Deputies also reported finding additional drugs and paraphernalia on Coburn when he was taken into custody.
Warrants were obtained based on evidence gathered during the investigation, leading to Coburn being charged with trafficking methamphetamine, selling and delivering a Schedule II controlled substance, selling methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Coburn is being held at the Wayne County Detention Facility under a $100,000 bond.
