A Four Oaks woman is facing multiple felony charges. Emily Ann Dewey, 29, of Jewel Lane, was arrested December 19 on 11 felony charges including seven counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.
On December 15th, a report was filed with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office by a relative of the suspect. The victim reported numerous checks had been stolen. Deputies allege Dewey wrote the stolen checks out to herself and cashed them at various locations in Benson.
Dewey was jailed on December 19th on a $100,000 bond.
