A special Oath of Office Ceremony was held at the Johnston County Courthouse on Tuesday for recently elected District Court Judge Frank Wood.
Wood was sworn into office during the 3:00pm ceremony presided over by Chief Resident Superior Court Judge Thomas Lock. He received his oath from Clerk of Court Michelle Ball.
Wood, who practiced law for over 19 years, ran unopposed for a seat in the Eleventh Judicial District in November. Wood received a political science degree from UNC and his law degree from Campbell. Judge Wood and his wife, Kellie, have a son, Jackson, who is a senior at North Johnston High School.
