Fundraiser Launched To Support Family Of 23-Year-Old Killed In Johnston County Crash

CLAYTON – A GoFundMe fundraiser has been launched to help the family of 23-year-old Toluwalase Chidera Adams of Clayton who was killed Tuesday night in a single-vehicle crash in Johnston County.
According to the State Highway Patrol, Adams died after his vehicle ran off Pritchard Road near Grande Overlook Drive around 10:10 p.m. and overturned.
Adams’ family and friends are now mourning the loss of what they describe as a kind and joyful young man whose life was cut tragically short. The GoFundMe page, created in his memory, shares that the accident occurred just one week after he celebrated his 23rd birthday alongside his twin brother, Ase-Eledumare.
“On Tuesday night, November 4th, our beloved Toluwalase (Toluwa) tragically lost his life in a car accident while on his way home,” the fundraiser reads. “Just one week earlier, he joyfully celebrated his 23rd birthday along with his twin brother, Ase-Eledumare (Ase).”
The post goes on to describe Adams as a “fun-loving, joyful, social and most importantly kind young man” with a “deep appreciation for music” who “loved capturing life’s beautiful moments through photos.”
After years of separation, Adams had recently reunited with his mother, Susan, in the United States.
“The funds raised through this campaign will be used to alleviate the hardships of Toluwa’s burial arrangements and support his family as they navigate through this very difficult and unprecedented time,” organizers wrote.
Those wishing to support the family can visit the GoFundMe page titled “In Loving Memory of Toluwalase (Toluwa) Adams.”
