Galindo Sworn In To Smithfield Police Force

The Smithfield Police Department has hired a new officer.

Gabriel Galindo was given his oath of office by Smithfield Mayor John Lampe at the May 5th town council meeting.

Officer Galindo previously worked for the Fayetteville Police Department.

He has been assigned to the patrol division to fill an existing vacancy, according to Police Chief Michael Scott.

With his hiring, one vacancy remains in the patrol division.
