Clayton Lands New Car Dealership

CLAYTON, N.C. — Lee Motor Group has officially opened Lee Hyundai of Clayton, bringing dozens of new jobs to Johnston County.
The new dealership, located on Clayton Boulevard, has already hired 35 employees and is continuing to recruit additional staff as it expands operations.
The opening comes as Clayton continues to experience rapid residential and commercial growth, with new businesses locating in the area to serve one of North Carolina’s fastest-growing communities.
“We’re excited to bring residents a hometown dealership they can trust,” said John Lee, chairman of Lee Motor Group. “Being Clayton’s first new car dealership is an honor, and we’re proud to pair that distinction with more than four decades of Hyundai experience. Our goal is simple—to take care of and provide every customer with an easy, transparent, and enjoyable experience from the moment they arrive.”
Lee Motor Group has represented the Hyundai brand in North Carolina for more than 40 years through its Fayetteville dealership. Founded in 1953 in Elm City, the company now operates dealerships representing Hyundai, Ford, Nissan, Kia, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama. The company’s corporate headquarters is located in Wilson.
A grand opening celebration, including a ribbon-cutting ceremony and public tours of the new dealership, is planned in the coming weeks. The company said additional details will be announced at a later date.

A Hyundai dealership? Nobody wants those cheap sh*t boxes

America’s BEST warranty! (: You have the free will not to purchase one, isn’t that amazing?
Does anyone remember John Allen Ford in Clayton as a new car dealership in the late 70’s?
Where is Clayton blvd ?
RIP Matthews Motors… not!
I guess during the grand opening, every salesman/woman is going to have a field day trying to get people to buy a car from them. All, Johnston County need is another car dealership. It’s bad enough that all these houses and subdivisions are going up; yet people are already struggling trying to keep a roof over their head, trying to keep food on the table, medical and medicine, and the paychecks are not matching up with the numbers. When, I used to go to these car dealerships just to look around, the salespeople are chasing me down trying to make a commission off of me. When they ask me if I’m interested in getting a car from them or what kind of car I’m looking into getting. I just tell them that are they interested in giving me a car for free. We’ll see how they last in this economy.
Agree there are too many car lots but the salesmen are just trying to make a living. They have to hustle. It’s commission based. Be polite to them.
