BENSON – Two Fort Bragg soldiers escaped injury after someone shot at their car. The road rage incident was reported at 9:41pm Friday, April 18 on Interstate 40 near the 318 mile marker, in the McGee’s Crossroads area.
The soldiers were in a personal vehicle when they reported an unknown person began following them and flashing their headlights. The car got beside their vehicle, and fired at least one shot.
The victims sped away from the other vehicle and exited off I-40 at Benson where they summoned help.
Authorities said there was no damage to their vehicle.
Johnston County deputies are tracking down a possible license plate number on the suspect vehicle.
Glad no injuries. Hope they get the shooter. If they do, they need to cut off their hands so they can never pull a trigger again and they also would not be eligible for social security disability. As far as the two Military, we thank you for your service. Be Safe!
