SMITHFIELD – Two Johnston County residents were arrested and taken to jail following a traffic stop Friday morning. A Smithfield police officer stopped a Ford Taurus around 2:00am on Highway 70 near Interstate 95 for a violation.
During the vehicle stop, officers reportedly found two firearms, marijuana and suspected methamphetamines.
JoAnn Finch Fisher, 44, of Davis Mill Road, Selma was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamines, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Dwight Dell Williams, 30, of Old Cornwallis Road, Princeton was charged with misdemeanor possession of a concealed weapon and a controlled substance.
Fisher was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $60,000 bond. Fisher was held under a $5,000 bond.
