RALEIGH – A Coats man was sentenced Friday to 150 months in prison for dealing crystal methamphetamine in 2021. On October 6, 2022, Richard Gordon Frame, 35, pled guilty to the charges.
According to court documents and other information presented in court, a multi-agency investigation identified that Frame and co-defendant Christopher McNeill (charged separately) were trafficking large quantities of methamphetamine in Harnett County. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives made multiple controlled purchases of 100 percent pure crystal methamphetamine from Frame who was supplied by McNeill. A total of 194.9 grams of the substance was purchased.
Frame was previously convicted of assault with a deadly weapon, larceny, trespassing, and additional drug possession charges.
Michael Easley, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina made the announcement after sentencing by U.S. District Judge James C. Dever III. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Coats Police Department, Dunn Police Department, Harnett County Sherriff’s Department, and the State Bureau of Investigation investigated the case and Assistant U.S. Attorney Casey L. Peaden prosecuted the case.
