Free virtual program will be held on June 17; Registration required
The Harnett County Public Library will host a free Ancestry program on Wednesday, June 17th at 2pm. To comply with current Public Health orders, the program will be held virtually utilizing Zoom.
“We are excited to offer a new virtual program to residents of Harnett County,” stated Harnett County Public Library’s Information Systems Librarian Joanna Cox. “The Ancestry Program will provide residents the opportunity to learn more about their family history.”
The virtual program will teach participants how to use Ancestry’s database of census and vital records to find and record information about their family history.
Interested individuals do not need a library card to participate but are encouraged to sign up for a library card to receive access to the Ancestry Library Edition resources from home. Those who do not have a library card can register for one online at https://harnett.libguides.com/about/onlinecard.
Registration is required to participate in the program. Participants will get an email with a link to access the virtual Zoom meeting after they register. The registration form is available at https://harnett.libcal.com/event/6784063.
