Keep Harnett Beautiful has announced an upcoming volunteer Litter Sweep on Friday, January 17th at 2:30pm. The cleanup will take place along Nursery Road in Western Harnett County.
The Litter Sweep has been coordinated in partnership with the Corporation for National & Community Service’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. With County offices being closed on January 20 in observance of this holiday, the Litter Sweep has been scheduled for Friday, January 17.
Citizens of all ages and community organizations interested in volunteering for this beautification effort on January 17 with county employees to cleanup western Harnett County will be provided safety vests, gloves, pickup sticks, and trash bags. A volunteer orientation will be held at Anderson Creek County Park, located at 1492 Nursery Rd, Lillington, at 2:30pm.
