SMITHFIELD – A head on collision Friday morning injured four people. The accident happened in the southbound lanes of North Brightleaf Boulevard near Peedin Road.
A JCATS bus traveling southbound collided with a black SUV in its travel lane. Firefighters had to free one victim trapped in the SUV.
Two people in the bus and two occupants in the SUV were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Smithfield Police briefly closed both southbound lanes until the accident could be cleared. Police are investigating the crash.
Johnston County EMS, Johnston County Emergency Services, and Smithfield Fire responded.

Looks like in the picture the SUV turned out in front of the J Cats bus. The J Cats bus was in it’s lane. Thats just my take. Prayers for all the injured.

She is fine Ashley and will be back before ya know it . Just an accident that she truly tried to avoid. They have a lot of great loving drivers at Jcats .
