WILSON’S MILLS – A head-on collision Tuesday morning temporarily closed a section of US 70 Highway in Johnston County. The two vehicle accident was reported at 4:16am on US 70 near Talton Farm Road in Wilson’s Mills.
Wilson’s Mills Police said a white Ford Ranger pickup was traveling eastbound and swerved into oncoming traffic in the westbound lane colliding head on with a black Hyundai sedan. After the collision the pickup overturned, partially crushing the cab.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital with injuries. None of the injuries are believed to be life threatening.
Westbound lanes were closed for approximately one hour before reopening.
