CORINTH HOLDERS – A section of NC Highway 96 North near the Wake County line was closed for several hours overnight following a serious accident.
Just before 10:00pm Saturday, two cars collided at the intersection of NC 96 and Earpsboro Road.
A driver was trapped in their car and a passenger in one vehicle was severely pinned.
Corinth Holders and Zebulon Fire crews worked to free the victims.
A total of three people were transported to Wake Medical Center.
The NC Department of Transportation responded to spread sand on the oil covered intersection.
The State Highway Patrol investigating the crash.
