FOUR OAKS – Two people were injured following a hit and run accident on US 301 at the US 701 / I-95 interchange. The accident was reported at 11:12am today (Tuesday).
Four Oaks Police said a white passenger car had stopped for a stop sign when it was rear-ended by a burgundy or maroon passenger car.
The burgundy or maroon vehicle drove in the grass around the white vehicle and sped away from the scene. The vehicle was last seen traveling on NC Highway 96 South of Keen Road at a high rate of speed. The vehicle should have front end damage.
Johnston County EMS transported the two injured adults to the hospital with minor injuries.
