Authorities are searching for a stolen horse. The horse was taken from its pen in the 4300 block of Bryant Pond Road in southern Johnston County sometime between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
The owner of the 15 year-old female Appaloosa said the fence had not been damaged and the gate was still closed.
The owner said two feed buckets were also missing.
The animal was valued at $1,500. There are no suspects in the theft.
