A Smithfield house fire displaced four adults and three children. The fire was reported Thursday at 12:43pm at 832 South Fifth Street.
Smithfield Fire Assistant Chief Jeremy Daughtry said crews arrived to find a working house fire. The Selma and Four Oaks Fire Departments responded to assist.
There were no injuries, however the home was heavily damaged.
Assistant Chief Daughtry said the fire was electrical related and started in a front bedroom. The blaze was ruled accidental.
The Red Cross is currently assisting the family.
