JOHNSTON COUNTY – Icy spots persist around Johnston County as Troopers and NCDOT crews were kept busy on Friday.
A pickup truck towing a trailer overturned and landed in the trees on Little Divine Road, Friday morning. An example of dozens of similar accidents in the area.
Just past noon, a Mustang joined another car from earlier in the day, in the ditch alongside Old Beulah Road near Oak Grove Inn Road, near Micro.
There have been no reports of serious injuries in the many wrecks. Conditions improved significantly Friday afternoon thanks to the sun and high temperatures in the 40’s. Slick spots could be a problem overnight when temperatures drop back below freezing.
