Improvements Coming For Southeastern Wake County Roads

WAKE COUNTY – About 16 miles of roadway in southeastern Wake County will be updated thanks to a $3.6 million contract recently awarded by the N.C. Department of Transportation.

Fred Smith Company will be milling and resurfacing portions of 34 secondary roads. Some of the busier roads include:

Poole Road from Rose Lane to Ajinomoto Drive
Smithfield Road from Bethlehem Road to Baywood Forest Drive
Hodge Road from Leonard Road to Poole Road
Hodge Road from Poole Road to the railroad tracks

Work can begin as early as March 2024 and finish late 2025.
