Incumbent Republican State Senator Brent Jackson won reelection Tuesday night. Jackson defeated Democrat Vernon R. Moore.
In unofficial results, Jackson received 56,214 votes (65.3%) while Moore received 29,900 votes (34.7%).
Jackson represents District 10 in the NC Senate. The district includes Johnson, Sampson and Duplin counties.
