Event is part of the 2019 North Carolina Science Festival.
Johnston Community College will host Family Science Discovery Day this Saturday, April 27 from 1 – 4 p.m. in the Health Building on the main campus in Smithfield. Family Science Discovery Day is an official event of the 2019 North Carolina Science Festival presented by the Biogen Foundation.
On display will be engaging STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) based activities and exhibits designed to stimulate scientific discovery and exploration for all ages. The event is free and no registration is required.
Founded in 2010, the North Carolina Science Festival is the first statewide science festival in the United States. Through a series of community-based events each April (hosted by schools, colleges, libraries, museums, parks, businesses and other local organizations), the Festival celebrates the economic, educational, and cultural impact of science in North Carolina.
