A Wake County woman employed to clean a Smithfield home has been arrested.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) received a report on December 12th from a 61 year-old woman she had a change jar containing between $600 and $1,000 stolen. The victim said she hired a contractor to remodel a portion of her home. The work began around Thanksgiving. After the work finished in December, the contractor hired a person to clean up the interior of the home.
Deputies allege that person, 24 year-old Elizabeth Anne Rohrer of Leonard Road, Knightdale, stole the change jar. Rohrer was arrested last Wednesday and charged with felony larceny. At last report the missing money had not been recovered.
