Johnston County Commissioners approved the following board appointments during their February 2023 meeting:
- Johnston County Airport Authority – Ken Jones II (to fill unexpired term ending March 31, 2024)
- Johnston County Health Board – Ray Stott (representing General Public); Kathleen W. Lane (representing Nurse)(3 year terms)
- Johnston County Planning Board – A. Brooke Holmes and William E. Letchworth (reappointed); Jared Keith Crenshaw, Jack H. Sasser, II and Gary R. Lovering (appointed)(3 year terms)
- Economic Development Advisory Board – Archer Lodge Area: Clyde Castleberry; Clayton Area: Patrick Pierce; Pine Level Area: Randy Jones; Princeton Area: Kevin Dougherty; Selma Area: Cheryl L. Oliver (2 year terms)
