Johnston County Crash Leaves Motorcyclist In Critical Condition

FOUR OAKS, N.C. – A man was critically injured in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash south of Four Oaks, according to the State Highway Patrol
The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 24 on Hockaday Road, about 2 miles south of Four Oaks.
Trooper R.A. Garcia responded to the scene. The preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle was traveling along Hockaday Road when it ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned.
The male operator, whose name has not been released, was ejected from the motorcycle during the crash.
Emergency crews from Four Oaks Fire Department and Johnston County EMS responded to the scene. EMS transported the rider to WakeMed Hospital with critical injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation by the State Highway Patrol. No charges have been filed.
