Report: Johnston County Deputies Catch Men Stealing Scrap Metal
PRINCETON – Two Johnston County men were arrested after reportedly attempting to steal scrap metal from a barn on Howell Road.
On November 19 around 3:40 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle near the property and reportedly found Tyler Paul Lewis, 33, of Princeton, and Randy Lynn Hill, 30, of Smithfield, at the scene. Hill reportedly attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended in a nearby wooded area.
Sheriff’s deputies charged both men with felony larceny.
