At the request of the NC Department of Transportation, Johnston County Commissioners approved the following additions to the State Maintained Road System, at their August 2023 meeting:
- Williamson Place Drive and Green Pine Circle – Williamson Place – Boon Hill Township
- Ryland Drive – Sunset Ridge – Cleveland Township
- Marago Way, Albereto Drive, Capanne Court, Mazzini Court, W. Ravano Drive, San Periro Drive (SR3565) and Pascoli Court – San Marino – Wilders Township
- Stagwood Drive and Trigger Court – Nolan Park Commons – Micro Township
- N. Nolan Park Drive, Bufflehead Drive, Surf Scoter Drive, Choctaw Trail, Elderberry Street, Cinnamon Teal Drive, and S. Nolan Park Drive – Nolan Park – Micro Township
