At the request of the NC Department of Transportation, the Johnston County Board of Commissioners approved the following additions to the State Maintained System during their June 21, 2021 meeting:
- Blaze Ridge Drive, Bonfire Court and Lightning Trail – Blaze Ridge Subdivision – Cleveland Township
- Whistling Duck Way – Wall Ridge Subdivision – Wilders Township
Some of these names, wow. Who comes up with this stuff? So many are just terrible. Drive around. I would avoid buying a house just because of the street names. Blaze and lightning? Good ones, especially considering the rash of house fires in new newer neighborhoods lately. That’s what I want to be reminded of when I lay down at night in my $50k-over-asking 30-year investment – FIRE
