The Johnston County Tax Collections office will be closed to the public this week (Nov. 23 – 27) due to a staffing shortage caused by COVID-19 quarantines. The Tax Offices have been cleaned and sanitized.
The closure only applies to Tax Collections. The Real Estate section will be operating on a normal schedule.
Tax Administrator Jocelyn Andrews said, “The tax collector’s office will be closed to the public until Monday, November 30, 2020; however, staff will be available during this time by phone or email.”
Tax payments can be made by phone, online, mailed or placed in one of the tax collection drop boxes located on Johnson Street near the stairway or in the circle drive on South Second Street.
