Drop off sites in Smithfield and Clayton
Johnston Health is in short supply of critical medical supplies, including personal protective equipment, at hospitals in Smithfield and Clayton. To meet the need, the hospitals will be accepting community donations from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. on Friday, March 27th, Tuesday, March 31st , and again on Friday, April 3rd.
In Smithfield, the drop-off site will be in the parking lot at Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, north end of Johnston Medical Mall. In the Clayton, the drop-off site will be on Barbour Street behind the Clayton Police Department.
The most urgent needs are: N95 masks, surgical masks, surgical masks with shield, nasal swabs for medical use. Other needed items include: hand soap, disinfectant and hand sanitizer with 60 percent or more alcohol; eye protection, including safety goggles or glasses; face shields; disposable gloves, gowns and shoe covers; and handmade masks.
