Johnston Man Arrested On Child Porn Charges

ANGIER – A criminal investigation that started in April 2023 led to the arrest of a western Johnston County man this week. Michael Lombardo, age 36, of London Lane, Angier was arrested August 9 on multiple felony charges.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said this week they received an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) cybertip in April 2023. Deputies were able to conduct a search warrant in June 2023 at Lombardo’s home and seize a personal computer.

An examination of the computer allegedly uncovered child pornography.

Lombardo was charged with 10 counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was held on a $350,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Detention Center.

The NC SBI and US Secret Service assisted the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office with case.
