A Johnston County man has been charged in a three county crime spree.
On Thursday, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44 year-old Gary Wayne Johnson of Micro Road West, Selma in connection with approximately 19 storage shed break-ins in Johnston, Wayne and Wilson Counties.
Sheriff’s office spokesperson Tammy Amaon said most of the Johnston County break-ins occurred in the Kenly and Princeton areas.
Johnson, whose arrest report listed him as being unemployed, was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $1 million bond.
A second person living at the same address, Garrett Wayne Johnson, 18, was charged Thursday with a December 17, 2015 break-in on Old Route 22 near Kenly and a January 13, 2016 break-in and farm truck theft in the 11000 block of Brogden Road near Princeton. He was jailed under a $75,000 bond.
