Juveniles Charged With Breaking Into Johnston County High School
CLAYTON, N.C. – Two juveniles are facing charges after they were reportedly found inside Cleveland High School early Friday morning.
Around 12:53 a.m., deputies with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded to the school at 1892 Polenta Road after a burglar alarm was activated.
Deputies arrived and found an unsecured door. Officers entered the building and searched the school with the assistance of a school official.
During the search, deputies located two juveniles inside the high school.
Authorities said the juveniles had taken two hand tools from the school’s shop area. The tools were valued at approximately $20.
Both suspects, who are under age 18, will face juvenile petitions charging them with misdemeanor breaking and entering and larceny.
No damage was reported to the school building. The stolen tools were recovered.
