KENLY – A Kenly man ended up in the Johnston County Detention Center Saturday night after his arrest. Around 7:18pm, a patrol deputy stopped the driver of a Chevy Malibu for a violation on Jerusalem Church Road outside of Kenly.
During the traffic stop, the deputy allegedly saw drug paraphernalia in plain sight. During a search of the Malibu, a small amount of suspected cocaine was reportedly found concealed inside a pill bottle.
Jerry Wayne Hinton, age 51, of Old Beulah Road, Kenly was charged with two counts of possession of cocaine. He was issued citations for driving on a revoked license and having fictitious registration. Bail was set at $10,000.
He was issued citations for driving on a revoked license and having fictitious registration along with drugs and Bail was set at $10,000. WOW, $10,000. That is a joke. This judge needs to go and get an honest judge to hand out the bail like in the other report that the Judge gave $150,000. Now that is an honorable Judge to me.
