Kenly Man Killed In Clayton Crash

One person died in a single vehicle accident Sunday night in Johnston County.

Emergency crews responded to an overturned car on Jack Road near Ranch Road outside of Clayton around 11:15pm.  Daniel Eugene Brantley, 45, of Kenly was traveling southeast on Jack Road when the Pontiac Grand Prix he was operating ran off the roadway to the right, struck a mailbox and ditch and overturned off the roadway in a farm field.

Troopers at the scene said Brantley was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected.
