DUNN – A groundbreaking ceremony was held Friday, Sept 29 at 206 W. Broad Street in Dunn to celebrate KS Bank’s new full-service branch. The event marked an important milestone for the bank as it expands its services to serve a new community.
The ceremony featured remarks from the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice-President, Heather Lawson, the Mayor of Dunn, William P. Elmore, Jr., and KS Bank representatives Earl W. Worley, Jr., President/CEO, and Harold T. Keen, President Emeritus. An invocation was provided by Darren Hughes, Administrative Pastor with Central Baptist Church.
Mr. William P. Elmore, Jr., shared at the event, “I’d like to give a special welcome to KS Bank and thank them for being here and their investment in the Dunn community. It’s been a great venture thus far and we look forward to all the things the community will gain by their presence in the area.”
President/CEO of KS Bank, Earl W. Worley, Jr. said, “We are thrilled to break ground on our new branch location in Dunn, which represents our commitment to bring true community banking back to Dunn and the Harnett County area. Thank you to Mayor Elmore and the City of Dunn for the warm welcome and guidance we’ve received to get to this day. We also want to thank the citizens and businesses for welcoming us with open arms. This new branch will not only offer a convenient location for clients, but also serve as a symbol of our dedication to growth and community engagement.”
The new branch will offer a full range of deposit and loan products for individuals and businesses. Customers will be able to utilize in-branch and drive-thru teller service, as well as 24-hour access to their funds through an ATM. They can also bank online or via KS Bank’s mobile app. The facility is expected to open in spring 2024.
