Cocaine had potential street value of over $11,000
FOUR OAKS – Four Oaks Police made a major drug bust early-Monday morning (today) after executing a search warrant.
It started Sunday night, when a police officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, a K-9 alerted on the car. Police found suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Tarvaris Woodard, age 44, of 800 E. Sanders Street, Lot 11, Four Oaks, was arrested and transported to the Johnston County Detention Center.
Based on evidence obtained during the traffic stop, Four Oaks Police obtained a search warrant for Woodard’s home.
Police Chief Stephen Anderson said a total of 4.1 ounces of cocaine, $5,100 in cash, two firearms, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia as located. One of the guns had been reported stolen in 1998 in Wayne County.
Tarvaris Woodard was released from custody on charges stemming from the traffic stop before police completed the execution of the search warrant.
Once located, Woodard will face additional charges of two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, trafficking cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Chief Anderson said Woodard appears to be a major drug supplier in the Four Oaks area.
“With the recent increase in overdoses, it is important to remove illicit substances from the community. I appreciate the good work by our officers to come out here and take care of our town,” Chief Anderson told The Johnston County Report.
The cocaine seized had a potential street value of just over $11,000.
They need to clean up Parkertown Road too while they are at it.

Amazes me how the real problem never seems to surface in the news article,and or the comments police power is to much as is the secretion given and it’s emence variances in astonishingly similar circumstances.All that aside what are these officers an citizens alike doing to stop the division of our communities this would essentially lead to a cooperative agreement and thorough plan execution for the revitalization of small business and other economic opportunities for the impoverished whom feel it necessary to commit to what’s necessary to eat not necessarily acknowledging the fact it’s a crime and in very few circumstances it’s possible that it could be seen as a justifiable act given the surrounding people and gov and their contributions or assistance in the one thing owed to all Mann is the offering of education on such opportunities then giving options other than merely eating “” untill that point all of you fail together and are just as guilty as well as ignorantly executing judgement on your own self and that in due time even sooner than most think if our economic disputes already at hand but also ignorantly ignored continue leaving many more hungry and ravudly trying to eat. “Consider this little message a mirror and window to you and your family a past and future example of it is I am ” unlike Nora dominos I’ve never been mistaken not even by a day.

Good job drugs killing children and adults way to go!
Why did they let him go? Now he’s loose and running. A danger to citizens.
I doubt he is running, he is more than likely laying low at a buddy’s house figuring they were going to raid his place. And the jail let him go because all citizens and non-citizens have the same right to a bail or bond. He met the requirements for his bail and was able to leave.
