Large Amount Of Narcotics Seized From Johnston County Home

BENSON – A Johnston County man is being held without bond after his arrest. Robert Duwayne Williams Jr., 37, was wanted by the US Marshals Service for parole violation.

Williams was located May 24 at an address in the 4300 block of NC Highway 242 South. He was taken into custody by US Marshals who were assisted by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.

While at the NC 242 South address, agents reportedly found 600 grams of suspected cocaine, 72 grams of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.

Williams was charged by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office with three counts of trafficking cocaine, three counts of trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy to traffic cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture sell or deliver a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Williams was held without bond on the parole violation warrant from the US Marshals Service. He was given an additional $500,000 bond on the drug charges.

The narcotics seized had a potential street value of just over $67,000.
